Our Team

Carolyn Siemsen
Church Warden

Carolyn graces us with her abundant energy and enthusiasm for this parish. She grew up in Rockhampton and attended St Barnabas Church. When she moved to Northgate Area in 2008, she found St Francis Anglican Church. She says: “The parishioners made me feel so welcome I have been involved in Church life ever since.”
Carolyn is also the Treasurer.

Jenny English
Church Warden

Jenny is our newly elected Church Warden. Jenny has been a member of the parish since 2009 and considers Nundah parish like her second family.

Jenny plays an active role at both St Francis and Holy Spirit churches, coordinating our music ministry, supporting lay ministry and is a Synod Representative.

Jenny is excited to join the team as Rev. Scott embarks on bringing new life to the parish.

Althea O’Dee and Phoebe Pattemore
Musicians

Althea: Music is a big part of my life! I love to play the piano and sing. But I LOVE to play and sing with others. I’m so happy to be playing at St Francis.
Career-wise, I am a teacher with special interests in early childhood education, music, literacy, and now special education. My husband, Alan, is my greatest supporter. Spending time in China, I taught music whilst Al evangelized, teaching English at the Chinese middle-school and the migrant-school.
I consider myself to be a sower-of-seeds, and I let God do the rest.

(Althea leads us in music on all but the third Sunday of the month.)

Phoebe: I have enjoyed playing piano since I was six years old and I’m currently a pre-tertiary student in the Young Conservatorium program at the Queensland Conservatorium. I love to play piano for others and I’m grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to accompany the beautiful voices at Holy Spirit and St Francis of Assisi churches.

(Phoebe leads us in a sung eucharist on the third Sunday of the month.)

St Peter the Fisherman Band

We were originally known as the “3rd Sunday Band”. One day, we were “borrowed” by St Francis for a special occasion, and we have felt connected ever since.

Our ensemble is made up of a group of friends who love music and appreciate the chance to play together. We welcome anyone who wants to come along and sing or play an instrument. We have plenty of percussion instruments you could choose from if you’d like to borrow one for the day.

(The band plays at Nundah parish on the first Sunday of the month, freeing them to continue to play at St Peter the Fisherman church on the third Sunday.)

Safeguarders

Safeguarders are people in the parish who are responsible to receive and respond to information concerning child safety in accordance with the diocesan Policy for the Protection of Children in Ministry Units.

Safeguarders hold a Blue Card, have completed the Child Protection Training, and had a National Police Check.
